A message from Zimbabwe

We were touched and a little saddened to receive the following message from Norma Jeane recently:

Dear Chris and Sue,

Thank you for your reply. I sure wish I was with you on the coast.

Yes we are all waiting to see what happens in the end.

It is a real blessing that there has been no violence.

Of course all our bookings have been  cancelled right into  the middle of  December.

So there may not be money to pay wages.

Things are quiet and those brave enough to travel say it is wonderful to have no Police on the roads.

We hope for change, nothing can be worse than what we have been through, in the last 30 years.

If all the stolen money can be brought back and used to promote business and work that would be a dream come true.

Enjoy the rest of your time at the Sea.

I too wish you all the best in whatever your plans are.

It was a pleasure meeting you both, and an honor to have you fly your Balloon from Norma Jeanes.

I was sorry you did not write in the visitors book, but I did stick your note in there.

So you will always be remembered.

Dear Norma Jeane
Thank you for the photos.
We had a good drive to the Zim border as there were no police out on the roads at all. We did not stop in Mutare to see Gordon as there were some military road blocks and we thought it best to avoid the town. We were receiving messages from our family who were a little worried about us.
Now we are on the coast in Mozambique and watching the news with interest to see what is happening in Zimbabwe. We wish your country the best and hope tourism will improve in the future.
